The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is seeking public feedback on the draft 2050 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and amendments to the 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
The CAMPO 2050 Plan is a multimodal long-range transportation plan for Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. This plan considers factors such as regional growth and anticipated funding to recommend needs and improvements to the regional transportation network for the next several decades to include roads, transit, biking, walking, and using technology to travel more efficiently. The TIP is a regional transportation programming document that lists projects in CAMPO’s six-county region that are funded and approved to begin implementation in the next four years.
CAMPO is conducting a community outreach and public comment period to share information about these planning efforts. Public commenting is open until November 8, 2024 for the TIP and December 9, 2024 for the 2050 Plan.
The 2050 Plan online open house and TIP Amendments online open house will be accompanied by in-person events throughout the six-county CAMPO region. Dates, locations, and additional information about these events are available on the Fall 2024 Outreach Events page. Printed materials and a survey can be requested by calling (512) 651-3964. A postage-paid envelope will be included to return the survey by mail.
