The Caldwell County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office is hosting a solid waste disposal drive on Saturday, May 10 that is free to residents of Caldwell County.
The drive will be held at 9675 SH 142 in Maxwell, where four 30-yard roll-off Dumpsters will be available to receive solid waste household items.
The event is first-come, first-served. Volunteers will begin accepting items at 8 a.m. and will continue until 1 p.m. or whenever the Dumpsters are full.
The event is free for all Caldwell County residents. You must present a government-issued photo ID and utility bill as proof of Caldwell County residency.
Event sponsors include 130 Environmental Park, Caldwell County Unit Road Department, Gary Job Corps and Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative.
The following items will not be accepted:
- Lead acid batteries.
- Sewage
- Used Motor Oil
- Sludge
- Used oil filters
- Grease trap waste
- Whole used or scrap tires
- Grit trap waste
- Refrigerators, freezers, A/C units or anything with CFCs
- Dead animals or slaughterhouse waste
- Liquid waste from municipal sources
- Bulk or non-containerized liquid waste
- Regulated hazardous waste
- Municipal hazardous waste from conditionally exempt PCB small quantity generators
- Medical waste
- Paint
- Out-of-stage wastes
- Contaminated soil
- Class I industrial solid waste (unless it contains only asbestos).
