If you come into the office to register a vehicle and YOU are not the original owner; YOU must have a written authorization or a text message with a picture ID of the owner giving you permission to purchase the registration.

***ID is requires at ALL TIMES***

Options for renewing your vehicle registration:

• Online: Visit www.TxDMV.gov. There is a $1 discount if you renew online. Pnline renewal is available up to nine months past your registration expiration date.

• Mail: Return the bottom portion of your registration form, payment and other required information to the Caldwell County Tax Assessor-Collector's office.
